Nexus 2.0: A New Chapter

We are thrilled to announce the release of Nexus 2.0, a major update that redefines what our platform can do. This release represents months of engineering effort, design iteration, and community feedback integration.

What’s New

Nexus 2.0 introduces a completely rebuilt rendering engine that delivers up to 40% faster build times compared to version 1.x. The new island architecture gives developers fine-grained control over client-side JavaScript, ensuring pages load quickly while maintaining rich interactivity where it matters.

The content management experience has been overhauled with a new visual editor, real-time preview, and improved content collections with schema validation. Authors can now see exactly how their content will look before publishing.

Performance Improvements

We measured everything. Lighthouse scores across our benchmark sites improved by an average of 15 points. Image handling now supports automatic format negotiation (AVIF, WebP, JPEG), responsive sizing, and lazy loading out of the box. The built-in font optimization eliminates layout shifts during page load.

Migration Guide

Upgrading from Nexus 1.x is straightforward. We have published a detailed migration guide covering breaking changes, deprecated features, and new configuration options. Most projects can complete the migration in under an hour.

What’s Next

Nexus 2.0 is just the beginning. Our roadmap for the rest of 2026 includes enhanced internationalization support, a plugin ecosystem, and deeper integration with popular headless CMS platforms. Stay tuned for regular updates.

Thank you to our community for the feedback, bug reports, and contributions that made this release possible. We could not have done it without you.
